All our legal services are specifically tailored to your needs. An hourly rate, a cost estimate or a fixed fee will be provided at the outset of commencing work – based on the information provided.

We update our clients regularly with regard to the amount of legal fees incurred as the matter progresses.

Hourly Rates

Our hourly rates vary based on the seniority and experience of the lawyer handling your case:

  • Senior lawyers: £290 – £550 per hour (plus VAT at 20%)
  • Trainees/Paralegals: £130-£200 per hour (plus VAT at 20%)

Estimated Tribunal Costs

The total cost for your case will depend on its complexity. Here are some general estimates (exclusive of 20% VAT):

  • Simple case: £7,500 – £20,000
  • Medium complexity: £20,000 – £40,000
  • Highly complex: £40,000 – £75,000

Please note, additional charges may apply for attending a Tribunal Hearing (£2,000 per day, excluding VAT). Disbursements will be in addition.

These are third-party costs, like court and counsel fees, which we handle on your behalf for smooth proceedings.

Barrister fees for a Tribunal Hearing range from £1,750 to £15,000 plus 20% VAT per day, with a daily refresher rate of £1,200 to £4,000 plus 20% VAT.

Estimated Time Frame for Litigious matters

For individual settlement agreements these are usually finalised within a week assuming the other side reverts in a timely manner.

For Employment Tribunal cases, in our experience, these are currently taking about 18 months to reach the full merits final hearing. The time scale is dependent upon a number of factors such as the issues to be determined and the length of the case (which in turn is usually linked to the number of witnesses).

For a short one day straightforward case, you might be given a hearing date once the claim form is issued.
